James Kile Broome

Aaaah. Coming 10 days late and STILL induced, Kile's birth was one of the greatest joys of my life (right up there with the births of Konnor & Emma, of course!). I actually had fun thanks to the best of friends to keep me, shall we say, distracted???!!!!! That, plus a hubbie full of one-liners, meant that this birth experience was certainly an unusual one! I had a BLAST! My doctor told me (once I was 10 cm) that I would laugh this baby out and that is pretty much what happened. I pushed two times through ONE contraction and was done. My nursing school friend was invited by my doctor to put on a gown and catch Kile (and she was the first to touch him) while the other held a leg like Jeff... Easy-peezy!!!! I felt incredible immediately following the birth and was home in 24 hours. Another good friend dropped by to spend Kile's one-day-old birthday with him. The whole experience could not have been better. The congratulations and well-wishes from friends and family all over the country was overwhelmingly meaningful. We are still getting baby gifts and congrats cards and Kile turned 10 weeks old yesterday.

Kile was 8 pounds 2 ounces and 21 1/2 inches long. Not as big as Konnor & Emma but a strong little boy in his own right. So now, three babies later, I think I'm done! With the most precious children in the world, I just don't want for more!

At his 2-month checkup he weighed 11.0 pounds even and was 22 1/2 inches long. The doctor commented that his head is just perfect (you'd think he was a C-section baby thanks to the speedy delivery!) and his features are gorgeous. Our closest friends like to call him "Little Jeff."

I have many pictures of all the kids to share. Tons of activities, tons of special and proud moments. Stay tuned....

Testing....

I've been told this is so easy, so here goes...
Jeff recently had a professional CD made of his recording session from several years ago. We took some fun shots at home of the musician at work (I mean, play!).
